Eilenburg’s Autumn Spring Festival Dazzles with Local Culture and Community Spirit
Eilenburg's Autumn Spring event transformed the market square into a vibrant festival mile, showcasing regional specialties, handmade products, and local associations. The main event was a resounding success, with 79.5% of visitors rating it as good or better.
The festival featured performances by local dance groups, a boxing club, and musical acts. The 'Soup Hens' offered various soups, supported by 'Soup Saturday' volunteers. Children enjoyed crafting offers, a bouncy castle, and soap bubble magic. The town hall was illuminated, and a wine lounge with musical accompaniment was set up in the inner courtyard. The Schalmeienmusikanten Langenreichenbach e.V. provided music at the award ceremony.
The city council will discuss unplanned expenditure and framework agreements at their meeting on October 6, 2025. Meanwhile, a one-way traffic regulation will be in effect on Puschkinstraße due to construction work from October 6 to November 7, 2025. The renovation of the combined sewer in Schreckerstraße is ongoing, with temporary closures and detours in place.
Ten awards and the Heinzel Prize were presented at the ceremony. Gabriele Hammermann received the Heinzel Prize for her work with the Musikverein Eilenburg e.V. The city of Eilenburg honored associations and individuals for exceptional commitment in volunteer work, demonstrating the lively and committed urban community in Eilenburg.
