Dutch gaming leaders unite to combat unlicensed operators in 2026
The Gaming in Holland 2026 conference will bring together industry leaders to tackle unlicensed gaming operators. Speakers from regulatory bodies, game firms, and legal experts will discuss strategies to protect players and strengthen the regulated market. The event follows ongoing efforts by Dutch authorities to curb illegal gaming activity through awareness and enforcement.
In 2024, the Kennis- en Ervaringscentrum voor Gokverslaving (KEG) launched campaigns to raise public awareness about illegal games. They worked with the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) to improve reporting systems and share data on addiction risks. Research initiatives were also introduced to promote licensed game operators and player protection tools.
The 2026 conference will build on these efforts, focusing on how licensed operators can push out unlicensed competitors. A senior representative from the KSA will address attendees, alongside executives from major game companies.
Confirmed speakers include Luka Pataky, Executive VP of AI & Innovation at Bragg Gaming Group, and Richard Dennys, CEO of Game Lounge. Other participants are Leo Judkins, Founder of iGaming Leader Mastermind, and Josh Hodgson, COO of H2 Gambling Capital. Legal and regulatory perspectives will come from Frank Tolboom, Partner at Franssen Tolboom Advocaten, and Björn Fuchs, Chair of VNLOK. Arjan Blok, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, and Dr. Andreas Ditsche, CEO of iGaming.com, will also join the discussions. Robin Bleichrodt, Managing Director of FGS Global, rounds out the lineup.
The conference aims to reinforce the Dutch game market by reducing unlicensed activity. Speakers will share insights on regulation, technology, and responsible gaming. The KSA's continued focus on illegal suppliers will remain central to the discussions.
