Dublin Poker Festival Celebrates 10 Years with High-Stakes Showdowns
The Dublin Poker Festival (DPF) is set to mark its 10th anniversary next month. Running from February 13 to 16, the event will take place at the Bonnington Hotel. Organisers promise a mix of high-stakes competition and a welcoming atmosphere for all players. The festival began in 2015 when the Amateur Championship of Poker (ACOP) and the European Deepstack Poker Championship (EDPC) merged. Founder Brian Lannon wanted to create a professional yet friendly setting for poker fans. This year's schedule includes 38 tournaments, with standout events like the €570 EDPC and the €300 Irish Mixed Game Championship.
The ACOP kicks off the action with a €350 buy-in and multiple starting flights. Online qualifiers can also secure seats through Unibet Poker's €50 satellites for both the ACOP and EDPC. One player to watch is Tomas Geleziunas, known online as TommyG or LuckyMo. The Lithuanian pro has won the EDPC twice in a row—first in 2023, then again in 2024—and now aims for a third straight title. With live earnings of $389,700, he currently sits 19th on Lithuania's all-time money list. Standing in his way is Dara O'Kearney, a poker coach and author who claimed the first-ever EDPC title in 2008. O'Kearney will be looking to stop Geleziunas from completing a historic hattrick.
The 10th Dublin Poker Festival runs from February 13 to 16 at the Bonnington Hotel. Players can compete in 38 events, including the €570 EDPC and the €300 Irish Mixed Game Championship. Online satellites via Unibet Poker offer another route into the main tournaments.
