Disney fans donate to children's charity, making wishes come true
Club Mickey, Spain’s official Disney fans’ association, has donated €926.76 to the Little Wish Foundation. The charity supports the emotional well-being of critically ill children and teenagers. The funds were raised during a special event at Málaga Factory shopping centre.
The charity event took place at Málaga Factory, where attendees enjoyed activities, contests, and themed entertainment. In exchange for donations, participants received 'solidarity polka dots'—tokens that could be redeemed for Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Lego merchandise.
Club Mickey members Nuria Santiago and Susana Míguez handed over the total amount to the foundation. The club, which has over 270 members, includes former Disney employees, influencers, and content creators. Their mission is to unite fans while supporting social causes, particularly those benefiting children. President Jon Valera explained that the group believes in the healing power of dreams. Through their shared passion, they aim to make a positive impact. The club also organises cultural and artistic events, such as meetings, conferences, guided tours, and commemorative celebrations.
The donation will help the Little Wish Foundation continue its work with seriously ill young people. Club Mickey’s efforts highlight how fan communities can contribute to meaningful causes. The event’s success reflects the group’s commitment to both fandom and charity.
