Deadwood's New Rocksino by Hard Rock Opens August 8 with Casino, Hotel and Live Music

Deadwood is set to welcome a new entertainment venue this summer. The Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood will open its doors on August 8, bringing a mix of gaming, dining, and live music to the city. Mayor David Ruth has already praised the project as a fresh attraction for locals and visitors alike.

The venue will combine a boutique hotel with a casino featuring 86 slot machines. Guests can also enjoy a full-service restaurant and bar, alongside a Rock Shop Retail Store. Later this year, remodeled deluxe guest rooms will become available.

Hard Rock International is managing the project, marking it as the only Rocksino facility under their brand. The company operates over 40 entertainment sites worldwide, from Vienna to Canada, but this will be their first of its kind in the US. The Deadwood location will also join the UNITY by Hard RockTM Rewards Program, offering perks to regular visitors. Behind the scenes, a team of local and regional firms has worked on the development. SRK Development serves as the general contractor, while Worth Group & Chamberlin Architects handled the design. Tandem took charge of interior styling, and Deadwood Electric managed the electrical work. Beyond entertainment, Hard Rock has partnered with Tunnel to Towers to support the Oglala Sioux Tribal Veterans Program. The collaboration aims to provide assistance to Indigenous veterans in the region.

The Rocksino by Hard Rock Deadwood will launch on August 8, adding a new option for gaming and hospitality in the area. With its casino, hotel, and dining facilities, the venue is expected to draw more tourists to the city. The project also reinforces Hard Rock's global presence while supporting local veterans through its charity partnership.
