Darts fan could win £180,000 in World Championship charity challenge

A new charity challenge at this year’s World Darts Championship offers one lucky fan the chance to win £180,000. The 'Darts of Destiny' event, backed by Paddy Power, will see a randomly selected participant attempt a nine-dart 180 in front of a live crowd. The prize money will be split between the winner, a charity donation, and another audience member.

The challenge is part of a wider fundraising push for Prostate Cancer UK’s TRANSFORM trial. This landmark study is the largest and most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial in two decades. Prostate cancer remains the most common cancer among men, with 1 in 8 expected to develop it during their lifetime.

The £180,000 prize will be divided among the winning participant, a charity donation, and a second lucky audience member. Paddy Power and Prostate Cancer UK hope the initiative will raise awareness and funds for critical research. The challenge takes place alongside efforts to promote early detection of prostate cancer among men.
