Chumba Casino Doubles Down on NASCAR with 23XI Racing Renewal

Chumba Casino has renewed its sponsorship deal with 23XI Racing for the upcoming NASCAR season. The online gaming brand will feature prominently on two of the team’s cars, continuing a partnership that has drawn both attention and controversy.

The agreement comes as sweepstakes-style casinos, like Chumba Casino, face growing legal challenges across several US states.

Under the extended deal, Chumba Casino’s logo will appear on Tyler Reddick’s No. 45 car as the primary sponsor for the Daytona 500. The branding will also be displayed on Bubba Wallace’s No. 23 car during the Brickyard 400. Additionally, the company’s logo will be visible on drivers’ firesuits and team equipment throughout the season.

Chumba Casino operates under VGW, the same parent company behind LuckyLand Slots, LuckyLand Casino, and Global Poker. These platforms use a sweeps coin model, allowing players to exchange virtual currency for real-world prizes—a practice critics argue resembles unlicensed gambling. While no recent legal actions have specifically targeted Chumba Casino, multiple states have cracked down on similar sweepstakes casinos, with some issuing cease and desist orders. 23XI Racing, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin, launched in 2021. The team has quickly become a notable presence in the sport, securing high-profile sponsorships despite the regulatory scrutiny surrounding its gaming partners.

The renewed partnership ensures Chumba Casino’s visibility in NASCAR’s top events. However, the deal arrives amid broader legal debates over sweepstakes casinos in states without licensed online gambling. The company’s continued presence in motorsports highlights the ongoing tension between marketing opportunities and regulatory risks.
