Great Start for Brown; Eldarova Out on First Hand

Right from the get-go, poker.pro's Social Media Manager Chris Brown went on a heater. The very first hand, he doubled up with Pocket Aces, and a few hands later...

The latest poker.pro tournament has seen dramatic early action, with key players facing swift exits and big wins. Aytan Eldarova, the company’s Head of Strategy, was knocked out in the first few hands, while Chris Brown, Social Media Manager, secured a strong lead with back-to-back victories. The event continues to draw attention as players compete for top honours on Eventbrite.

The tournament began with high stakes right from the start. Eldarova went all-in preflop in the very first hand, holding a pair of Kings. Her opponent revealed Aces, leaving her with no chance as the board ran out clean. The loss marked a quick end to her run.

Brown, meanwhile, started strong by doubling up immediately with Pocket Aces. His momentum continued when he later won a massive pot with a Nut Flush, using the Ace of Diamonds and Seven of Diamonds. The hand solidified his position as a frontrunner in the early stages.

Eldarova briefly returned to the action but suffered another setback. She flopped a set of Cowboys (three Kings), only to see an Ace land on the river, handing her opponent a winning pair. With that, her short-lived comeback ended, and she was eliminated for good.

While the tournament’s overall most successful player remains unclear, recent high-profile wins elsewhere have highlighted the competitive field. Eric Baldwin took down the $800 No-Limit Hold’em event at WPTWC 2025, and Jason Koon claimed victory in the $50,000 High Roller at WSOP 2025. Neither, however, is directly tied to poker.pro’s current standings.

Eldarova’s early exit contrasts sharply with Brown’s dominant start, shaping the tournament’s early narrative. With several key hands already decided, the remaining players now face tighter competition. The event’s outcome will depend on how the surviving competitors navigate the shifting dynamics at the tables.
