Cesar Garcia Dominates $50K Pot-Limit Omaha for Career-Best $1.2M Win

Cesar Garcia has claimed his largest career win by taking down the Onyx High Roller Series $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Grand Slam. The Spanish player secured a $1.2 million payday, pushing his total earnings near $3.5 million. His aggressive style and recent dominance in PLO tournaments have cemented his reputation as a rising star in high-stakes poker.

Garcia entered the final table with a commanding chip lead. He controlled over 60% of the chips in play at one stage, putting immense pressure on his opponents. His relentless approach saw him open roughly 80% of hands early on, targeting middle and short stacks without hesitation.

The victory marks the peak of Garcia's rapid ascent in PLO, a game he only began focusing on seriously 18 months ago. His switch to Pot-Limit Omaha in mid-2024 quickly paid off, with deep runs in major events. These include a third-place finish in the €10,300 PLO High Roller at EPT Monte Carlo in April 2025 (€85,000) and a fifth-place showing in the $5,000 PLO event at WSOP Paradise in December 2025 ($92,400).

His recent successes also feature a win in the €10,000 PLO event at EPT Monte Carlo and a final-table appearance at the $50,000 Triton PLO in Jeju, South Korea. Fellow finalist Danielle Noja described Garcia's play as fearless, dubbing him the 'Spanish matador' and a 'bull in a China shop' for his relentless aggression.

Garcia has noted the explosive growth of PLO tournaments and expects the trend to continue. This win solidifies his position as one of Spain's top poker earners, placing him near the all-time top-10 money list for Spanish players.

The $1.2 million prize is Garcia's biggest career score so far. It caps off a remarkable 18-month run in Pot-Limit Omaha, where he has become a consistent threat in high-stakes events. With his earnings now approaching $3.5 million, his rise in the poker world shows no signs of slowing down.
