Caesars Entertainment eyes Alberta's 2026 online gambling market launch

Caesars Entertainment is preparing to enter Alberta's upcoming regulated online gambling market. The company has applied for an operator's licence and opened pre-registration for three of its gaming apps. Players aged 21 and over can now sign up ahead of the mid-2026 launch.

The move will introduce Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino to Alberta. Each platform promises a mix of slots, table games, live dealer options, and sports betting. The apps aim to blend Caesars' traditional casino style with a modern digital experience.

Pre-registered users will get alerts when the platforms go live. The company has also thanked the Alberta iGaming Corporation for its support in developing a regulated market. Once operational, Alberta will become the sixth North American jurisdiction where Caesars offers online casino and sports betting services. Recent expansions include a launch in West Virginia, another region with legal online gambling. Alberta's market is expected to open in mid-2026, giving Caesars time to refine its local offerings.

The launch will mark Caesars' first entry into Alberta's digital gaming space. Players will gain access to three distinct platforms, all tied to the company's established casino brands. The expansion follows ongoing growth in regulated North American markets.
