A Boston-based trust has claimed the largest lottery jackpot in Massachusetts this year. The Open Door Trust won a $25 million prize from the state's new '$25,000,000 Mega Money' scratch ticket game. This marks the first time the game's top reward has been awarded since its launch.
The winning ticket was sold at a shop on Montague City Road in Turner Falls. As part of the prize, the store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
Renat Lumpau, acting as trustee, collected the winnings on behalf of the Open Door Trust. After taxes, the trust will take home $16,250,000. As of March 2026, no other winners of the '$25,000,000 Mega Money' game have been publicly announced.
