Barry Carter's shocking exit rocks PartyPoker Tour Seville Main Event

The 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville €500 Main Event saw a dramatic elimination on Day 1b. Tournament Ambassador Barry Carter clashed with Ivan Monje in a high-stakes hand that ended his run. The event, held at Casino Admiral from 16-22 March, attracted 383 entries, with 88 players competing on Day 1b alone.

The hand began with Ivan Monje opening to 7,000 from under the gun. Kevin Moreno then called from UTG+1, and PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Barry Carter three-bet to 25,000 from the cut-off. Both Monje and Moreno called the raise, taking the pot to the flop.

On the flop, Carter moved all-in for around 180,000. Monje made the call, but Moreno decided to muck his hand. When the cards were revealed, Carter held K♥K♦, while Monje showed 4♦4♠. The weaker pair held, and Carter was knocked out of the tournament. The €500 Main Event featured a total prize pool of €170,435. Francisco Garrido eventually won the title on Day 7, taking home €30,500 after a week of competition at Casino Admiral in Seville.

Carter's elimination marked the end of his run in the tournament. The event continued with 88 players from Day 1b advancing, while the remaining field competed for the €170,435 prize pool. Francisco Garrido went on to claim victory and the top prize of €30,500.
