APT Taipei 2026 unveils record 172-event poker series with $25K Superstar Challenge

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is expanding its reach with a record-breaking schedule for 2026. APT Taipei, set for April 22 to May 3, will feature 172 events, including 33 high-stakes tournaments. The series continues to attract players from across the globe, cementing its place as a leading live poker destination.

APT Taipei 2026 will take place across two venues: Red Space and the Asia Poker Arena. The event follows five straight tour stops that each broke participation records, drawing a growing number of international competitors from the USA, Europe, and beyond.

The schedule includes nine turbo high roller events, each with a $1.1K buy-in and 15-minute levels. For faster-paced action, hyper-turbo tournaments will run with 10-minute levels and buy-ins from $1K to $1.5K.

A standout addition is the $25K Superstar Challenge, a two-day event with a 250K starting stack and 14 levels of 40 minutes on Day 1. The last edition in Jeju (APT Jeju 2025) saw 42 players compete, including eight from the USA and Europe—two from the UK, one from Germany, one from France, and one from Russia—alongside 34 local Taiwanese participants.

New for 2026 is the Single Day Super High Roller, a $16K buy-in tournament with a 250K starting stack. Nine one-day high roller events will also run, offering 100K starting stacks and blind levels of 20 or 30 minutes.

APT Taipei 2026 will run from April 22 to May 3, featuring a mix of high-stakes and turbo formats. The series builds on the APT's recent growth, with more international players expected to join. Organisers have scheduled 33 premium events alongside a full lineup of 172 tournaments.
