Andrew Mountbatten Windsor Offered Luxury Abu Dhabi Retreat by UAE President

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been offered a luxurious retreat in Abu Dhabi, where he could become a neighbor to Spain's former king Juan Carlos. The villa, a gift from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, provides a private sanctuary away from the media spotlight.

The six-bedroom property, located in the Sea Palace compound, has hosted Andrew and his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, in the past. It boasts a home cinema, indoor plunge pool, gym, and a large kitchen staffed by professional cooks. The compound is also home to the UAE's ruling family and the Emirati navy headquarters.

Andrew's friendship with Sheikh Mohamed dates back to when Andrew served as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment from 2001 to 2011. The villa has recently been refurbished, blending classical grandeur with modern design.

If Andrew accepts the offer, he will reside in a £10 million luxury villa on the Abu Dhabi royal family's estate. The villa's media restrictions and royal treatment make it an ideal retreat, as noted by Andrew Lownie, author of 'Entitled.'
