Africa Unites to Standardize Gambling Rules in Landmark Conference Series
A new series of gambling conferences has been announced for Africa. Called the Gambling Standards Harmonization Conferences, they will focus on creating consistent rules across the continent. The events are a joint effort between the International Gambling Standards Summit and the Association of Gaming Regulators in Africa.
The first conference will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from February 10 to 13, 2026. Further meetings are planned for March 16-19, 2027, in South Africa, and March 7-10, 2028, in West Africa. Each event aims to bring together regulators, standards bodies, operators, and other industry stakeholders.
The conferences mark a step toward aligning gambling regulations across Africa. Three events over three years will provide a platform for collaboration between regulators and industry leaders. The outcome could shape how gambling is managed and monitored in the region.
