Aaron Johnson secured victory at the WPT Prime Championship on Saturday night. The win marks his first million-dollar payday and pushes his career earnings past $3.6 million. The tournament also saw Aaron Martin Del Campo finish second after a gruelling heads-up battle.

The final table began with intense action, as Aaron Martin Del Campo contributed to the early eliminations. His aggressive play set the tone for the later stages. Despite having few recorded live tournament results before this event, Aaron Del Campo reached heads-up play against Johnson.

Aaron Johnson, a regular on mid-stakes tours, endured a tough three-hour duel before finally overcoming Aaron Del Campo. The victory adds to Johnson’s impressive record, which includes two Main Event wins and 13 top-ten finishes on the Major Series of Poker. Aaron Del Campo took home $942,000 for his runner-up finish. Elsewhere, Safiya Umerova gained a significant boost in earnings after Qing Liu’s elimination. The pay jump earned her an extra $145,000. Meanwhile, the WPT’s attention now shifts to the World Championship final table, where Soheb Porbandarwala and Jeremy Becker will compete for a $2.5 million prize.
