A $1.2M poker showdown shakes *High Stakes Poker* in epic clash

A dramatic $1.2 million pot unfolded in Episode 8 of High Stakes Poker Season 15. Three players—Andrew Robl, Sean Dempsey, and Darin Feinstein—clashed in a high-stakes showdown that became one of the most talked-about hands of the series. The action took place in a $500/$1,000 no-limit hold'em game, offering Robl the chance to secure his largest televised win yet.

The hand began with Robl raising to $5,000 holding K♠6♠. Dempsey called with A♣5♣, and Feinstein three-bet to $20,000 with A♥Q♦. Robl called, building a pot worth $1,234,500 before the flop.

The board ran out A♠7♠K♣, giving each player a strong piece of the action. Feinstein kept betting on the flop and turn, while Dempsey eventually shoved all-in on the turn. The three agreed to run the river three times, splitting the outcome across multiple boards. When the dust settled, Dempsey walked away with roughly $210,000 in profit. Feinstein lost just under $140,000, and Robl dropped about $70,000. Despite the massive pot, it fell short of High Stakes Poker's record—$1,412,500—set in an earlier season.

The hand stood out as one of the most intense moments of Season 15. While Robl missed his chance for a record televised win, the clash highlighted the high-risk nature of the game. The episode remains a key talking point among poker fans, showcasing the volatility of no-limit hold'em at the highest levels.
